My Great Grandfather Peter Summerfield with his wife and two daughter's moved to Wheeling in the year of 1872 from Germany. While living in Wheeling from 1872 till 1901 he worked at a Cole mine near by for twenty five years. Him and his wife had four more children while there my Grandfather was first born named William Joseph Summerfield 1n 1878 next was Eddie born in Dec 1883 but died two week later Jan 6th 1884 and was buried at MT Calvary cemetery the family finally moved across the river to northside Pittsburgh pa where in 1915 my father William James Summerfield Sr was born. but I am coming up this weekend to see where my great grandfather lived. and check out things around that area. take care.
